Background

Karolina Proprentner is the Office and Events Manager at the VCDNP. Before she joined the Center in March 2022, she worked as a Public Relations Officer at the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, where she was responsible for the public representation and communication of a Member of the European Parliament.

At the VCDNP, Ms. Proprentner serves as the principal coordinator of all events, including courses, workshops, seminars and meetings, organised by or at the VCDNP. She is also responsible for general office management, as well as managing the Center’s public communication channels, such as social media and the website.

Education

Ms. Proprentner holds a Master of Arts degree in Contemporary History and Media with a focus on Mass Media and Communication from the University of Vienna. Her master's thesis focused on media representation of female political leaders in Europe. Prior to that, she received a BA in International Relations from Queen Mary University of London, during which she specialised in EU politics and  Gender Studies. Ms. Proprentner is fluent in German, Lithuanian, and English, proficient in French, and has basic knowledge of Spanish.
