
Zoe Edwards has been a Research Assistant at the VCDNP since June 2026. She joined the Center in September 2025, previously working as a Research Intern. Prior to the VCDNP, she worked as an intern for the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, where she supported the Committee’s work on nuclear energy, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. She has also completed internships with the Austrian Institute of International Affairs, the U.S. Delegation to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and the U.S. Department of State.
At the VCDNP, Ms. Edwards conducts independent research in the area of emerging technologies and nuclear security and provides other programmatic assistance to the Center’s experts. She also participates in the organisation of the VCDNP’s meetings, courses, events and workshops.
Ms. Edwards holds her Master of Advanced International Studies from the Diplomatic Academy (DA) of Vienna, which she was awarded with distinction in 2026. She was the 2024-25 recipient of the Fulbright-Diplomatic Academy award for full-time study and worked as a Student Ambassador and International Law Research Assistant at the DA. She received her BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford in 2024, where she was awarded a Michel Junior Scholarship from The Queen’s College. Ms. Edwards is a native speaker of English, fluent in French and has basic knowledge of German.
