VCDNP Angela Kane participated in a two-day workshop organised by the Sejong Institute and the Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Absolution at Nagasaki University, in cooperation with the Panel on Peace and Security of Northeast Asia, of which Ms. Kane is a member.

The workshop, entitled "From Peace on Korean Peninsula to North East Asia Nuclear Weapon Free Zone", took place on 1 - 2 June in the Republic of Korea and included premier experts on Korean security issues from all over the world. During the workshop, Ms. Kane chaired a session on options for a regional security framework.

During other sessions of the workshop, participants addressed the current status of North Korean denuclearization, potential ways to promote peace on the Korean Peninsula, inter-Korean relations since the 2018 Pyongyang Declaration and ways forward on a Northeast Asian nuclear weapon free zone.
