On 28 January 2016, the VCDNP hosted a seminar by Gideon Frank, former Director General of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission, entitled "Challenges in Implementing the JCPOA: A Personal Perspective".

Implementation Day under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), concluded between Iran and the E3/EU+3 in July 2015, arrived on 16 January 2016, the day the IAEA issued its report confirming the verified implementation by Iran of the nuclear-related measures described in the JCPOA, and the EU and US simultaneously announced their lifting of nuclear related sanctions. Gideon Frank, who currently serves as Chair of the Supervisory Council of the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and as a member of the Board of the Nuclear Threat Initiative in Washington, D.C., shared his personal views on some of the major challenges facing the parties in the ongoing implementation of the JCPOA.
