VCDNP's Executive Director Laura Rockwood was interviewed by both BBC News and the English Language Service of Radio France Internationale in Paris on the latest North Korean intercontinental ballistic missile test conducted on the United States' Independence Day on Tuesday, 4 July 2017.

Laura Rockwood believes that it was not a coincidence that the test was carried out on the 4th of July and suggests that the aim was fundamentally to get the Americans' attention. She also highlights the need for diplomatic negotiations in order to halt the North Korean's programme by suggesting a freeze on nuclear testing of weapons and missiles in exchange for the US freezing its military exercises with the South Koreans.
