As a part of the Young Women and Next Generation Initiative (YWNGI), the VCDNP hosted a webinar featuring Véronique Christory, Senior Arms Advisor at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), on the ICRC’s role in negotiating the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).

The VCDNP launched the 5th edition of the Young Women in Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (YWNPD) Mentorship Programme, an activity of the Young Women and Next Generation Initiative (YWNGI) established by the VCDNP in 2021 on behalf of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium (EUNPDC).
The final meeting of the 2024–2025 cycle of the Mentorship Programme under the YWNGI took place on 14 May 2025. Hosted virtually, the event brought together mentees, mentors, and experts in the field to share insights, celebrate the achievements of the mentees, and reflect on the Programme’s outcomes.
