In the aftermath of the alleged chemical attack in Syria, VCDNP’s Angela Kane, given her experience having led chemical weapons investigations in Syria in 2013 as former UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs, was interviewed 10 times in the course of one week regarding the recent use of chemical weapons in Douma, Syria. She provided information on what work must inspectors perform in order to decide which chemical agents have been used. Later that week, she commented on the joint U.S. strike on Syria and its implications for the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons experts that were operating in the field.
