A new brief in the Governing the Atom series provides a succinct overview of the treaties, regulations, multilateral commitments, and international standards that make up the frameworks facilitating peaceful uses of nuclear technology around the world.

Authored by Senior Fellows Dr. Sarah Case Lackner and Ingrid Kirsten with support from Research Intern Benedict Höfter, the brief explains the critical role played by various instruments and organisations in protecting people and the environment, and contributing to global security, including:
