The VCDNP and IAI in the framework of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium have launched the Young Women and Next Generation Initiative (YWNGI) to encourage young women and the next generation to enter the non proliferation, arms control and disarmament field.
VCDNP Project/Events Manager and Research Associate Mara Zarka spoke to the Faculties of the University of Belgrade, Military Academy, and Police Academy on non‑proliferation, arms control and disarmament education, as well as the work of the EUNPDC.
On 29 April 2021, as part of the Young Women and Next Generation Initiative (YWNGI), the VCDNP and IAI organized the second public outreach event focused on the EU and its policies on non-proliferation and disarmament, as well as its engagement with academia and the younger generation.
On 13 April 2021, the VCDNP and the Istituto Affari Internazionali held a follow-on meeting to the EU Next Generation Workshop on non-proliferation and disarmament.
On 12 April 2021, the International Affairs Institute (IAI) and the VCDNP held the first meeting of the Young Women in Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Mentorship Programme under the auspices of the Young Women and Next Generation Initiative.
