On 5 May, as part of the Young Women and Next Generation Initiative (YWNGI), the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP) and the International Affairs Institute (IAI) visited the University of Turin. The visit was the first of a set of visits planned through the YWNGI, as part of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium (EUNPDC) effort to engage the next generation in non-proliferation, disarmament and arms control.
The event, organized in cooperation with the University of Turin, featured two panels.
The first panel was dedicated to the current geopolitical situation in Europe, where experts assessed the origins of the war, the threaten potential use of nuclear weapons, and analyzed the impact of the war in Ukraine on the non-proliferation and disarmament regime.
